🌴Apo Island🐢

If you wanna swim with turtles there is a 100% chance you will see them at Apo Island in the Philippines!! 🐢💯 My friends and I went in July 2019 and we saw soooo many!!! 😍 It was my main reason for coming to this island. Swimming with turtles, fish of many different colors, beautiful coral and even a sea snake!…everyone must go!

We booked thru our hotel, Atmosphere Resorts & Spa with their excursions so our boat picked us up at 8am right on the beach of the resort. 🌊They provided us with all the snorkel gear, towels, and snacks! In about 35 minutes we arrived at the island and we had our first turtle spotting! 🐢

One, two, THREE turtles all together 🐢🥺
We followed this big dude into deeper waters!

Apo Island is accessible by boat only. It’s a volcanic island and marine sanctuary with over 650 species of fish, 400 species of coral. So snorkeling and diving here is top notch!

Our guide Richard took the GoPro for us to capture this!
This guy came outta no where!

Guys all these videos of turtles 👆🏼👆🏼were just from our first snorkel stop! And that’s not even all the videos I have! 🤯

🥽 Next snorkel spot we were closer to some big rocks and coral. The water was a bit rough here so we didn’t stay too long. This is where we saw the sea snake and we were FREAKING OUT! 🐍😱

😮Look at it!! 👀 excuse our terrifying muffled screams!! 🐍

The whole tour was only a half day! 8am-noon. I would’ve stayed all day if I could! 😍

Our friend Christina graciously lent us her GoPro HERO4. We had a trusty Sealock waterproof bag and I’m not sure the name of this iPhone waterproof case but it was a lifesaver!

How to get there!

To get to Apo Island we flew Shanghai (PVG) to Manila (MNL) Manila to Dumaguete (DGT) You can also get there by ferry ⛴ from Cebu, Bohol, Siquijor if you’re in those areas!

Ok but really…if you wanna swim with these majestic creatures and see some beautiful marine life I can’t stress enough how amazing Apo Island is! Thanks for reading!! Message me if y’all have any questions!
