We had a very short stay in Singapore! And I must say…biggest glow up by a country I have ever been to! I last was in Singapore in 2010, so I was excited to go back and see the new digs!! And it did not disappoint! So here is our very quick 1 day in Singapore la!
This is our mad dash itinerary:
☕️ Koon Seng Road/coffee
🪴 Gardens by the Bay
🌹 Flower Dome
☁️ Cloud Forest (Avatar exhibit)
Marina Bay Sands
✈️ 💎 Airport- The Jewel
Ok, let’s chat about these in detail:
Koon Seng Road is located the Joo Chiat area. It’s a row of colorful pre-war terrace houses. The houses are quite narrow because housing tax back in the day was based on how wide houses were!
If you just look at the house you’ll notice how colorful they are but if you look at the detail you’ll see some beautiful Chinese characteristics along with mythical creatures like dragons, deer and dogs which are considered a symbol of good fortune and long life. It also said a little something on how wealthy the owners/tenants were!

Right across from these rainbow houses was a cute coffee shop ‘Kohi Coffee Bar’ They opened at 8am which worked well with our jet lag and being up so early. It’s just a small window so be careful as you may miss it! I absolutely recommend a mochi donut. Oh my gosh, it was insanely good! They run out so definitely go in the morning. Flavors were sea salt or caramel, we got both and split them.

By 9am we were headed to Gardens by the Bay! It was early so there was hardly any people but man was it already steamy outside! We bought tickets for:
OCBC Skyway $12
Supertree Observatory $14
Flower Dome
Cloud Forest (Avatar Exhibit)
*combined tickets for Flower Dome & Cloud Forest was $53. Otherwise single ticket was $20 for Flower Dome and $45 for Cloud Forest. So cheaper to buy both together!*
OCBC Skyway is a must! It’s an aerial walkway high above the ground. I’m not usually a fan of heights but I was ok with this! Since we were there early we had the walkway to ourselves for a good while!

Supertree is another high observatory but it’s basically a circle around one of the vertical trees. It does feel more stable if you’re more comfortable with that but to be honest we could’ve done without this one. There is a little shop at the top with cold drinks and a place to sit if you need it. We did as it was burning up already outside!
We walked over to the Flower Dome next. It was gorgeous. It’s the worlds largest glass greenhouse! It was nice to get in the AC! But to also see the colorful flowers and quaint villages they created inside. There’s a cute cafe inside called Hortus. They have delicious rice pudding! It’s a picturesque place to stop for a rest if you need.

Our last stop in the area was the Cloud Forest, which was showing an Avatar Exhibit. Now I’m not big on Avatar so I wasn’t expecting much, but it was gorgeous! The waterfalls inside are massive and it’s like you’ve been transported to the green jungles of Pandora. You can make your way to the very top and walk down. It is quite high!, but the view is stunning. There’s a fun Photo Booth where you can turn yourself into an Avatar. It’s a humbling experience. You’ve been warned. Lol.

In total we spent about 4ish hours here! Start with the outside sky tree and walk way, get the hot stuff outta the way 🥵 Then make your way inside to the AC! Luckily we did this because it started pouring rain in the afternoon. So we took our time waiting for the torrential rain to pass. Just check your weather app and see what works best!
After this we walked over to Marina Bay Sands. It was a short walk over but we were surprised there weren’t more signs saying which way to walk? Idk maybe we missed them, but we just walked over because you can’t miss it 👀
Marina Bay Sands is more than just a luxury hotel. It seemed like a whole city in itself. After walking around the hotel for a bit we went to the mall that was attached and had a late lunch. By this time it was time to head back to our hotel and pick up our luggage and head to the airport.

Now showing up to your flight 4 hours early maybe a little too early, but when it’s the famed Changi Singapore Airport, it makes sense!
We got dropped off at T4, checked in our bags and took the shuttle over to the Jewel. There are a lot of signs and people also shuttling over for this. So it was pretty easy to navigate.
The shuttle was about 10 minutes and pretty easy to get on and off.
The Jewel is amazing! It’s the worlds tallest indoor waterfall and it truly is a wonder! The waterfall itself is surrounded by so many restaurants and cafes along with some pretty good shopping. You could spend a few hours here. I even saw a spin class taking place. lol 🚴

We headed back to T4 for our flight to Phuket. And that was the end of our very quick trip to Singapore! 🏃🏻♀️
Thanks for reading la! I hope to go back one day to try out all the food at the hawker centers!! 1ish days was not enough!! 🇸🇬
