Hellorr again!
Going to Bali??? STAY HERE PLZ!!
When researching places to stay in Bali, I knew I had to stay up in the rice terraces away from the crowds! And boy did I find the place!

Bali is known for so many different styles of accommodations! From huge luxury resorts, cute boutique hotels, beautiful airbnbs and then epic bamboo treehouses. Which is exactly what I wanted for this Bali trip when my friend and I traveled there in June 2023.
Camaya (Cha-mai-ya) is nestled up in the mountains of Selat close to Mount Agung ⛰️
It’s a bit of a drive to get there…only because of the traffic in Bali! 😬 Now because you’re further inland on the island doesn’t mean there’s not much to do! They had a big variety to offer like…. 👇🏼
Local guide sunrise hike
Floating breakfast
Flower bath
Spiritual reader
Waterfall excursion
Fire pit
We did do the sunrise hike, which I highly recommend! Started the morning at 5am and it was pitch black…hiked close around the area for around 20ish minutes and had the most gorgeous view of the sunrise over Mt. Agung. I would do this again and again..it was just so peaceful and mesmerizing!!
We also booked a floating brunch…because you must while in Bali, it’s kinda the law. And a flower bath! Luckily all the villas here at Camaya have a small pool so both of these should absolutely be on your list!
But also if you just wanna chill and enjoy the views of the green palm trees and excellent service the villa offers…that’s completely doable and what we did for the 2 days we were here!
Sunrise hike and flower bath, floating brekky photo dump

We booked the Butterfly House and it was just that!…2 identical bedrooms with a center shared super spacious bathroom and outdoor shower. It could easily fit 4 people nicely!
I should point out, our rooms were spectacular and very spacious! BUT there is a window….that is completely open. One with nature if you will. So if you’re afraid of bugs/insects (none came into my room thank GOD) then maybe pass on this. They do have bug spray which we sprayed religiously on our doors/windows and the bed has a huge net/sheets to shield you,..but just an FYI!
The upstairs had a beautiful open area and hammock for gazing out into the rice fields and a big screen for a movie night if you wanted! Great place to watch the sunset!!
They had a full menu for room service as well! So if you really wanted to get away from the Bali hustle and bustle and be off the grid for a bit, Camaya was a perfect option.

We booked this magical villa thru Airbnb. Click here. They had other gorgeous villas all secluded on top of the hill. This is definitely more like a deluxe hotel experience rather than my experience with small Airbnbs.
This is a super short blog post. But just wanted to share our experience of Bali in a bamboo house! Thanks for reading!!!
